Could you be our next Headteacher?

The governors, staff and families at Anlaby Primary School are looking for our next Headteacher, to start in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our fantastic school community onto even greater things.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strong academic and pastoral excellence, along with a passion for and commitment to making a difference to children and communities. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will enjoy visible leadership and will be dedicated to supporting the best life chances for all children and families.

Anlaby is a thriving village nestled in the heart of East Yorkshire- just a 5-minute drive from the Humber Bridge, with easy access via the A63.

The area is steeped in history and offers a unique blend of rural tranquility and modern amenities.

With picturesque landscapes and close proximity to the bustling city of Hull, Anlaby is an ideal place for those seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to urban attractions.

We are a large primary school (404 pupils on roll) with nursery provision. In the future, we are looking to grow our pre-school and nursery- ensuring that we provide the very best for our youngest learners starting out on their journey.

Well-maintained building and grounds provide a good teaching space. Areas have been developed effectively so that every part of the building is used productively and provides plenty of spaces for small group support. The classrooms are well proportioned, with most having access to outdoor space. The grounds are generous and provide excellent opportunities for working outdoors.

After the retirement of the current Headteacher, we are looking to recruit a Headteacher to start in January 2025.
