We are looking for an exceptional Upper KS 2 Class Teacher and Maths Lead at Turves Green Primary School.

Duties will include: -

  • to lead, manage and develop the staff knowledge and pedagogy in Mathematics across all phases
  • to ensure consistently high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils across school
  • to have an understanding of and ability to implement monitoring and evaluation
  • to analyse data to evaluate Mathematic for the performance and achievement of pupil groups across school and be able to plan appropriate course/action for improvement
  • to develop and deliver effective professional development for staff
  • to be an excellent classroom practitioner, who can model, support and grow the teaching of Mathematics
  • communicating and consulting, in accordance with current guidance and circulars, with the parents of the pupils they are assigned to teach
  • to provide a stimulating classroom environment which encourages pupils to become independent learners
  • assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in their own class
  • be passionate about Maths
  • be committed to their own professional development
  • be an excellent communicator and team player, who works collaboratively and effectively with others
  • to contribute effectively to the work of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team
