Laundry Assistant

• Part-time: 14 hours per week
• Working Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 11:30 to 14:30, Tue, Thu 11:30 to 14:00
• Salary: Band 2 - £23,362 to £25,368 per annum (pro rata)
• Distant Island Allowance: £2,256 per annum (pro rata)

An opportunity has come up for a Laundry Assistant to join the team at Gilbert Bain Hospital Laundry. We need someone who can handle all aspects of the role, pays attention to details, communicates effectively, and follows instructions well. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

We are searching for individuals who embrace our teamwork approach. A decent level of basic education is required, and holding a full UK driving license would be advantageous. Following instructions is crucial for participating in the initial training and induction. Your manager and colleagues will be there to support you throughout your on-the-job training. Your contributions to the Domestic team are vital for the smooth operation of the Health Service in Shetland; as a valued team member, you may have the chance to enhance your skills in other areas of the facilities team if interested, like laundry or catering.
