Job Overview: We are looking for experienced and skilled groundworkers to support our marine construction project in Ulverston. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in groundworks, preferably in marine environments, and will be able to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.

  • Perform a variety of groundworks tasks, including excavation, trenching, and back-filling.
  • Prepare and lay foundations, drainage systems, and other essential infrastructure for marine projects.
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow site plans and blueprints to execute tasks accurately and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work site, minimising hazards and disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a groundworker, preferably with experience in marine construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • SCTW Sea Surivial Course
  • ReleVant certifications or training in construction safety and equipment operation are a plus.
