As a Meter Reader you will be responsiblefor collecting data in both commercial and residential properties.
You'll update meter reads accurately throughout the day on yourhandheld device. You'll be an ambassador for the company,representing many of the UK's leading suppliers. As a member of theMDS family you'll play a key role within our business and representour brand. We have a reputation for hard work, great results, andfor being a great place to work. What does an average day looklike? Initially you join ourtraining environment before moving out into the field. Start yourday by signing into your handheld device so you're ready for theday ahead. Your day will begin with you planning your route.

Meterscan be inside or outside properties, so you'll need to decide whattime you're more likely to gain access to an inside meter.

You'llspend your day walking or driving (depending on the area youcover) fromproperty to property, always ensuring your own and customers'safety.

Once you arrive, you'll read the meters andrecord the information accurately on a state-of-the-art handhelddevice. This will be done whilst delivering first class customerservice to every property you visit. You work on your own and willhave the motivation to work quickly and efficiently in anindependent role. You will be self-motivated and energetic, ideally from abackground where you are used to driving / managing appointmentsand working outdoors, but this is notessential.
