About the Role:

Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Coach Builder to join our client's dynamic team in Glasgow, Coatbridge. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the construction and repair of custom coaches and commercial vehicles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and assemble coach bodies, including fitting body panels, doors, floors, and roofs.
  • Repair and refurbish existing coach structures to meet client specifications.
  • Work with various materials such as steel, aluminum, and fiberglass.
  • Install internal fixtures and fittings, including seats, luggage racks, and other components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Coach Builder or in a similar role within the automotive or coachbuilding industry.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of various materials and construction techniques.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
