The Governing Body is looking to appoint an outstanding deputy headteacher to work alongside the headteacher and SLT as the school continues its improvement journey. The successful candidate will have high expectations of themselves and others, be enthusiastic, and strategic in their thinking, with a proven track record of driving school improvement.

Alder Community High School is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Gee Cross, Hyde, close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. We offer excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment for both students and staff.

The specific remit of this role will be dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

We work collaboratively with a variety of schools within the Greater Manchester area and have active subject networks working together to drive up standards across Tameside.
