Job Description School Office Assistant Location Cranbrook :
School Office Assistant (All Year Round)
We are looking to recruit a School Office Assistant to join Benenden's dedicated School Office Team. The School Office is the hub of the School and its wide range of customer demands needs to be met to a very high professional standard. The School Office team provides reception and post room services, as well as providing secretarial and administrative support for the School.
School Office Assistants report directly to the School Office Manager; post holders work in rotation to staff the main reception desk, and additionally work in a busy back office environment with reasonable noise levels. As front-line staff, School Office Assistants deal directly with parents, students, school staff and other members of the community, and are often the first point of contact for those making enquiries to the School. Post holders are therefore required to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism in their conduct and personal presentation, and they may occasionally have to deal with challenging customer interactions whilst carrying out their work.
The job demands flexibility/adaptation to changing/conflicting priorities and deadlines, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

During Term time
Monday 8am-6pm
Tuesday 8am-6pm
Thursday 9am-6pm
Friday 9am-6pm
During Holidays

About Benenden School:
Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. Benenden is at the forefront of girls' education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we opened our new Music School and Hall in June 2022.
Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School's leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
