Metalis is working in partnership with a Manufacturer in Sheffield, who due to continuous growth are looking to hire an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor on a permanent basis. Must have Extrusion machinery experience.

Job Duties:

  • To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of the management of staff and manufacturing processes.
  • Full site responsibility for out of hours operation ensuring that all behaviour, systems and procedures are in accordance with the expectations of the senior management team, including managing communications with offsite staff/resources where applicable.
  • Committed to excellence in every function of your day to day duties and that of those working for you.
  • Management of production, quality and waste targets and to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing processes.
  • To ensure company material resources are used in an effective manner and to laid out specifications to ensure best operating costs.
  • To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company's quality systems, processes and procedures.
  • Manage, develop and motivate all direct reporting staff, recognising any development areas as well as recognising good performance. To have an active role in the company's continuous improvement to achieve plans for future growth.
  • Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues.
  • To ensure good communication is given verbally and written to all members of staff.
  • To ensure that Health and safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the company's health and safety policy.
