Welding Instructor

OVERVIEW: WELDING & FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR

We are currently seeking a Welding professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Welding & Fabrication qualifications, for a well-established training provider.

Full or part time role available.

The Welding Instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking Welding qualifications. You will be a time served Welder / Fabricator and hold a level 3 or above qualification in a Welding & Fabrication / Engineering discipline.

Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and are a time served Welder, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

THE ROLE OF WELDING INSTRUCTOR:

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of welding qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: WELDING INSTRUCTOR

• Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served welder / fabricator
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience of working with young people

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: WELDING INSTRUCTOR

• Level 3 (or above) welding or engineering qualification
• Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
• Teaching qualification (desirable)
• This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance
