Are you a Game Design Maestro and a multiplayer specialist? How would you like to help shape a beloved game that impacts countless peoples' lives every day through engaging social experiences?

We are looking for a talented and creative Senior Game Designer interested in designing compelling social interactions and community features for our players. You will get the opportunity to be part of a great team, working with an industry-leading and genre-defining game with over 200 million active players

Your role within the Kingdom

As a Senior Game Designer in the Social team of Candy Crush, you will be working with varied stakeholders in a fun, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. You'll own and drive the design process to create social experiences that enhance player to player interactions and foster a vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of new social features that encourage player interaction and enhance the community feel of the game.
  • Design and implement systems that facilitate player collaboration, competition, and communication.
  • Actively seek and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate insights on player social behavior and motivations.
  • Work with product managers, UX designers, data scientists, and production teams to deliver engaging, high-quality social experiences for our players.
  • Provide clear feature documentation.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and operators to fine tune balancing and maximize the impact of live social events and features.
  • Keep up with free-to-play game trends related to social features and best practices. Share learnings with the team.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the game design team to ensure social features integrate well with the entire game ecosystem.
Skills
  • Innovative - Ability to conceptualize, document, and develop innovative ways to make players play together and drive community building.
  • Track Record - Have a consistent record of designing high-performing features for live games, especially in f2p mobile games.
  • Analytical Thinker - Ability to analyze player interactions with the game and with other players, generate insights, and make recommendations based on player data.
  • Player focused - Strong desire to get what you are working on in front of players as quickly as possible to learn what works and what needs to be improved for a perfect experience
  • Communication and people skills - Effective communicator who can rally a multidisciplinary team behind your vision.
Bonus points
  • Previous experience in casual puzzle games
  • Experience in social networks or social gaming platforms
  • Education in social psychology or related fields
