About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Trials Assistant to become part of our growing team at the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit (ORTU). The position involves providing essential support to the trial management team in the establishment and supervision of recruiting sites, ensuring efficient operations and offering professional assistance to studies and partners on a daily basis.

As the main point of contact for all sites, you will play a crucial role in setting up, approving, and maintaining oversight of recruiting sites for various ongoing studies managed by ORTU.

About You

Applicants should possess a solid educational background and numerical proficiency (equivalent to A-level standard), or a blend of relevant experience and training.

You should also showcase:

  • Outstanding communication and organizational abilities.
  • Precision and attention to detail.
  • The capacity to collaborate within a team and work independently.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a clinical or academic setting.

Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice and the relevant regulatory framework for clinical trials in the UK would be advantageous for this role.

About the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit

The ORTU specializes in designing, implementing, and managing trials in the field of Respiratory Medicine.

We conduct national and international trials related to our academic interests and provide support for trials led by other groups. Our work encompasses clinical trials in various phases, including translational studies, phase II exploratory studies, and multicenter randomized trials.
