As a Teaching Assistant at this primary school in Harborne, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the classroom, while also gaining valuable experience and training to support your future career aspirations in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, supporting the learning and development of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning, including those with special educational needs.
  • Help create a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
  • Support the teacher in the planning and preparation of resources and activities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities, including online training, to support your growth and development as a future educator.
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.

  • Previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or another relevant environment, is desirable but not essential.
