You will assist the Kitchen Supervisor in the preparation cooking and serving of all meals associated with the catering provision within the school.

To deputise for the Catering Supervisor in their absence, fulfilling all aspects of School catering and duties.

Duties will include skilled cooking activities, stock control, stock taking and deliveries. You will maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness which comply with legislation and in house procedures.

A REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate, Allergen Training Certificate and an SVQ2 or equivalent in catering and experience of working in a catering environment, are essential for this post, however you would be considered if you did not have a SVQ2. On the understanding that if you were successful, you attained the relevant qualification during the course of your employment.

Post holders must have experience of food production within a catering unit and a sound knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen environment. Communication skills are essential, as interaction with staff and clients is a key aspect of this post.

Cornbank Primary School Kitchen - Based on you working 26 hours over 38 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £14,944.54 per annum.

Requirements
