Epsom, Surrey, United Kingdom Aon Full time
Fund Accountant
18 month Fixed Term Contract
We're hiring
Aon are currently recruiting a Fund Accountant to join our team. This is a Hybrid role with some weekly travel to Epsom required.

The Fund Accountant will be primarily responsible for NAV oversight of our proprietary managed funds, developing and managing relationships with external service providers, including underlying managers, custodians and fund administrators.

About Aon
Aon plc is a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions.

Our 50,000 colleagues in 120 countries empower results for clients by using proprietary data and analytics to deliver insights that reduce volatility and improve performance.

Aon is an equal opportunities employer.

Aon's recruitment and selection policy ensures the best possible skill mix of colleagues and the highest quality candidates are appointed using objective job-related criteria.

DCS, also more generically known as fiduciary management, is a service offering developed by Aon for its pension scheme clients.

It is delivered via an FCA authorised asset management business set up within Aon (AIL). Clients are invested in a range of Aon multi-asset class pooled funds, and / or segregated vehicles.
The team's operations are constantly being shaped by regulatory requirements and internal initiatives. Accordingly, the role is uniquely positioned within the business, working in a demanding and dynamic environment.

Acting within the wider operations team, the role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain a first-hand look at the investment process, which assists in developing a holistic knowledge around the end-to-end investment and valuation process.

The role would be ideal for someone who is adaptable and flexible with a can-do attitude, looking for an opportunity to drive the development of a key functionality in a rapidly evolving, global business.

From day one, the successful candidate will take on the shared responsibility for a variety of functions both operational and managerial in nature.

Your impact as a Fund Accountant:

Being uniquely positioned within the business, the Fund Administration team works in a demanding and dynamic environment, providing a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced, multi-asset fund-of-funds management firm.

Specific tasks include, but will not be limited to:

  • Calculation of the valuations of the funds and portfolios managed by AIL.
  • Reconciliations to the official books and records.
  • Oversight of client and fund transactions processing.
  • Assistance with regulatory reporting
  • Assistance with Audit queries.
  • Participation in departmental initiatives
  • Resolving adhoc requests.

Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
