We are currently seeking a physically fit and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering tools for hire, including scaffold towers and Portaloo, to various locations within the local area. This role involves operating a 3.5-ton transit flatbed van equipped with an extra-wide bed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 3.5-ton transit flatbed van, delivering tools for hire to multiple locations.
  • Secure loads using straps and ensure safe transportation.
  • Deliver and pick up Portaloo, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
  • Utilize a sack truck for heavier items and minimize heavy lifting.
  • Collect stock from other branches as required.
  • Following safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.
  • Previous experience in a similar delivery driver role preferred.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks associated with the job.
  • Ability to strapdown loads securely and operate a tail lift.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Comfortable using technology, including GPS trackers and vehicle cameras.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and occasional weekends as needed.
