Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will be joining the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) UK team. ERM is part of Group Risk Management and is responsible for defining and implementing an effective risk framework and governance structure across RBC's UK and Channel Island operations, in particular for RBC Channel Islands Limited (RBCCIL).

What will you do?

  • Prepare monthly risk appetite scorecards and quarterly risk reports for the respective management committees and the Board
  • Monitor the EWIs for Recovery Planning daily
  • Assist the team in the production of the annual ICAAP, Recovery Plan and Risk Identification for various UK and European entities
  • Assist the team with the refresh of Risk Management policies and frameworks and prepare the presentation for approval by the respective management committees and the Board
  • Support Risk Governance activities
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests as required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline (such as Finance, Economics, Accountancy or other quantitative discipline).
  • Experience in financial services
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to produce clear and concise documents
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good communicator and motivated
  • Proactive and organized - delivery orientated
  • Team player
  • Attention to detail

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of Capital Management, Risk Reporting and ICAAP.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks - Basel III and CRDIV
