You will be responsible for the day to day operation of a busy team of Democratic Services Officers and PAs to the Council's Mayor and Leadership Team. You will also be the Lead Scrutiny Officer in the delivery of a comprehensive high quality scrutiny support service.

We are looking for someone who has excellent leadership and team working skills and a 'can do' approach, with the ability to organise and prioritise their work.

You will need to be able to communicate in a clear, concise and diplomatic manner with councillors, officers at all levels and with members of the public.

Do you already have experience of working at a senior level in a democratic environment within the public sector? Do you enjoy working in and leading a team?
