We are in a position to appoint additional SEN Teaching Assistants to join our existing teams at our 2 school sites in Newham.

We have a specialist ASD Resource provision and are a provision of choice for ASD students within Newham. Accordingly, we are a growing department, both in terms of students and staff.

We are a well-resourced, specialist team and prioritise staff training to ensure that we are well-equipped to respond to the changing and varying needs of our students. We have provision for students with Complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and have a high proportion of students with EHCPs or who are in receipt of High Needs Funding.

We are a highly aspirational school but we also really prioritise staff and student wellbeing and have just had our work in this area recognised by the Wellbeing Award for Schools and the Leading Parent Partnership Award

Our SEN Teaching Assistants are paid for 36 working hours per week and employed on a term-time only basis.

Stratford School Academy has been rebuilt and redeveloped through the Priority Schools Building Programme recently. We now have two new buildings, each for 750 students situated on separate sites but close to one another. The two sites operate as parallel 'mini schools' educating students from Year 7 to 11.You have the chance to join us at an exciting time as we implement improvements which will enhance the educational experience of our students.
