Job Description

Mechanical Services Engineer

The Role:

Property & Facilities Management (P&FM) has a vacancy for an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer within its Engineering team.

Reporting to the Principal Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Manager within the P&FM service, you will provide a full range of technical and professional duties associated with mechanical building services, including the preparation of design solutions, technical drawings and associated information.

Projects will include new build major capital projects, such as schools, housing, offices, and depots, as well as extensions, alterations and refurbishments within existing local authority properties. This post will provide an exciting opportunity for applicants with a range of experience, and relevant training can be provided where necessary.

P&FM delivers BIM L2 compliant projects and knowledge of this process, and the associated software packages such as Revit, Stabicad and IES may be an advantage.

This role also provides a service providing technical and practical advice to other P&FM disciplines, client departments, Elected Members, and external clients.

We have one full-time permanent post available.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.? Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
