We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and gifted person to join our staff as Chaplain, promoting the Catholic ethos of the school and helping students and staff to grow in faith and their love for the Lord. The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic with the ability to animate worship in a creative way and have a heart for the Church and its call to evangelise. They will also have the ability to work alongside others in a supportive and nurturing way.

The mission statement gives direction to the Chaplain's work, which is essentially:


• To enrich the life of the school through prayer, presence, liturgy, retreat and charity work


• To support individuals and the school community in their journey of faith

• To counsel and provide a listening ear to all


• To be a bridge builder, and help maintain and heal relationships

St Gregory's Catholic Science College has been identified by OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. Pupil behaviour is excellent and we have a happy and cohesive staff.

Effective safeguarding, data protection and promoting the welfare of pupils is our utmost priority.
