The GCB5 Manager Liquidity role is based Treasury function.

Job summary: -

The role of the Manager Liquidity is to support various activities to achieve the goals and objectives of the treasury team in HBEU Solo. The purpose of this role is to provide support to, and analysis of, liquidity reporting. The role holder is expected to offer commercial insight from treasury information, and to drive process improvement across the function.

This role provides an excellent and unique opportunity both to gain exposure to senior management as well as to work with a highly motivated team of skilled and experienced Asset, Liability and Capital specialists within the supportive structure of Group Finance, where career development is a high priority.

Requirements

Minimum criteria: -

  • Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. Prior treasury experience preferred, Proven ability to influence stakeholders to support the delivery of multiple objectives as well as stand-alone tactical tasks
  • Experience to include roles in large complex organisations and line functions in a bank finance area
  • Experience working in relevant market, or context, i.e. Commercial Bank and Global Markets business structure, product suite and strategic drivers
  • Conduct analysis and interrogation of liquidity and funding reports to ensure business drivers are understood and explained to senior management.
  • Carry out regular and bespoke stress testing on liquidity. Provide necessary support in setting up of stress testing assumptions.
  • Contribute to the production of documents including the Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment, Contingency Funding Plan, Annual Report, and Recovery and Resolution Plans.
  • Work with policy and FCD (Finance Change Delivery) to support the reporting team in the implementation of regulatory changes to reporting.
  • Support the treasury team to provide guidance to Global Businesses on the implications of business strategy on the liquidity and funding for the site;

Essential criteria: -

  • Provide expertise and proactive advice on liquidity and funding issues as directed;
  • Produce high quality Sub ALCO / ALCO papers on topics as directed;
  • Produce MI against liquidity and funding metrics as directed
  • Assist the department in maintaining appropriate controls on EUCs, data security etc.
  • Support Heads of treasury teams in ensuring that all stress testing obligations are met for the UK;
  • Positive Attitude & eagerness to learn which can be demonstrated by giving real life examples at work or personal situations
  • Ability to articulate a problem at hand to senior management in a summarised fashion
  • Ability to address plenty of 'what if' and 'situation' based questions. As an HR you can create your own situations. Idea is to see if a person can handle stress. In treasury stress type situation is normal be it 'resource crunch' or 'market driven' or senior management driven'
