Main purpose of the role:

The primary purpose of the role is to be assist the regulatory reporting team in preparing and reporting various regulatory MI for the BGC, Cantor and GFI family of UK regulated entities.

Key

responsibilities:

Assistance with daily regulatory monitoring and reporting.Assist in the Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly regulatory returns to the FCA in a controlled and timely manner. This will include IFPR as well as other FCA regulatory returns.Liaise with other departments including Financial Control, Product Control, Operations, Front office etc. to follow up issues arising from daily and monthly reporting.Assist with Exception management on Trading data for regulatory reporting.Support the team on ad-hoc reporting issues.Preparation of annual reporting statements and reconciliations to statutory accounts
Skills / experience required:
Highly desirable to have understanding of various IFPR templates, or any other regulatory reporting regime templates.Highly desirable to be familiar with Own funds and capital requirements either under IFPR or another regulatory regime.Experience of working in a fast-paced Financial Services organisation and understanding financial instruments/products and industry market jargon.Be self-motivated and ambitious and able to build long term relationships with all relevant parties, both internally and externally.Be capable of working effectively at an operational level.Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to organise, prioritise, manage and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines.
Systems used:
Prior experience with Oracle General Ledger and any regulatory reporting system would be advantageous.Stock MS Excel skills.
