RECfinancial are excited to be recruiting exclusively for our Leicester based retail business, in the search for a Temporary Finance Assistant on a Full Time basis. Working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week,

Main role of Finance Assistant

Reporting into the Financial Accountant, the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out financial duties to support the business. Our client is looking for a confident individual with previous experience dealing with collection of overdue payments, purchase ledger, reconciliations.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

  • General ledger duties including assigning entries to correct accounts
  • Bank / balance sheet reconciliations
  • Data cleansing roll checking off invoices.
  • Plus ad hoc Administration duties.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is ideal
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-disciplined, with good time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise various tasks.
  • Team player, supportive of departmental colleagues
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Exchequer or similar systems
