Lift Installation Engineer

My client is a well-established family-run business that provides professional lift removal, installation and refurbishment services throughout the UK, currently looking to employ a Lift Installation Engineer with a minimum of an NVQ 3 in Lift Installation to join their regional Sussex-based team.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to come away from London working, and who would appreciate the chance to work more rurally, covering East and West Sussex areas on ongoing projects across the coast.

The role will involve;

  • Assessing sites for proper lift installation by examining blueprints and layouts.
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are being followed during installation.
  • Testing lift systems to verify proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the installation process.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all installation activities and updates.
  • Training junior engineers and technicians on installation procedures and safety measures.
  • Inspecting installed lifts for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Updating clients and stakeholders on project progress and addressing any concerns.

To be considered for this opportunity, you ideally need to have;

  • An NVQ 3 in Lift Installation, J26 Lift Engineering modules or comparable qualification to access sites.
  • A full UK Driving License.
  • The ability to confidently install lift equipment, in a Lead Engineer capacity.

This position is offering an excellent remuneration package, including;

  • A basic salary of up to 47,000pa based on a 40-hour contract.
  • All travel and work completed outside of contracted hours paid at enhanced rates,
  • Excellent overtime rates.
  • 25 days ' annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
  • A company van, fuel card and all tooling and provisions provided.
  • Company phone.
  • All PPE provided.
  • Internal pension scheme.
