My client is looking for a Planner to join their team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in planning principles, excellent communication skills, and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of their projects in Cardiff and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare planning reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Monitor and review planning policies, regulations, and legislation.
  • Attend meetings, consultations, and public hearings as required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in planning or a related role.
    • Knowledge of UK planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
    • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and planning software.
    • Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartered status is desirable but not essential.
