About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team in Scarborough. This position is available either full-time or part-time, starting immediately or in September 2024. The role involves supporting young children in their early stages of education.

About the School:
The school caters to pupils aged 2 to 16 who experience moderate learning difficulties, autism, or similar communication difficulties. Their mission is to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st Century. The school is an academy for children with a range of special needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Support the development of children's literacy, numeracy, and social skills through play-based learning.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to plan and implement engaging activities.
  • Monitor and record the progress and development of children in your care.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach.
  • Be committed to promoting the well-being and development of young children.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
