We are looking for an inspiring English teacher who is seeking to take on an additional responsibility to work alongside the Head of English to provide leadership for our high-achieving department. We are excited that the scope of the responsibility can be shaped by a successful candidate, together with the Head of Department and Headteacher, and in keeping with the needs of the department. Last year, our school's progress 8 measure (Literature +1.39, Language put us in the top 20 schools nationally for student progress and the English outcomes were among the best in the borough and country. This speaks to our robust curriculum offer and passion for English.

As well as being friendly, supportive and collaborative, we are committed to training and growing teachers, having a genuine culture of development with a focus on making incremental, meaningful changes to our practice which will have a significant impact on pupil outcomes. You will be well supported in your professional development in this role by the Head of English and an experienced Senior Leadership Team.
