Science Teacher Position

Our client, a well-established Special School in Stroud, is looking for a Science Teacher to join their team. The school primarily serves secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs related to SEMH, MLD, ASC, and other associated needs. They have development plans to welcome more students and enhance their educational offerings. If you have experience working with students who have SEMH and other needs, this role is a great fit for you.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Teach any science subject to students aged 11-16
  • Deliver general science lessons with a focus on individual needs
  • Work with small class sizes ranging from 5-8 students
  • Support learners with ASC, MLD, and trauma-related needs
  • Engage parents in supporting children's learning at home
  • Implement positive behavior management strategies
  • Participate in safeguarding and maximizing student opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a dynamic environment
  • Provide excellent communication and teamwork skills
