Commercial Projects/ Project Development Partner – Renewables

This role has a focus on energy and Infrastructure with an increasing emhasis on renewables.
Our law firm client has made good inroads into this sector over the last 10 years. So this isn't a greenfield site, but nor is it the finished article (i.e. there is plenty of momentum, clients and pipeline, but not so developed that there are no spaces for career progression). The team are well supported by management and also get the benefit of a full service firm with plenty of the necessary expertise.
The team are now seeking a commercial projects, project development partner to assist with undertaking a broad range of largely domestic clean energy projects. Most of the work is acting for private sector clients (although the firm is on some public sector panels which is of benefit for the NSIPs), across heat networks, solar, tidal, battery, low carbon and PPAs. Ideally you will have a broad skill set which at its heart includes commercial contracts and advising on transactional deals.
The partners are happy to talk to either established partners or LD/Counsel level lawyers who are seeking their first step into partnership. As above, clean energy/renewables sector experience (and interest) is going to be important, but there is an acknowledgement that lawyers want to keep a broad practice so you will not be leaving clients/profile/experience behind if you also want to focus on other additional sectors.
