Description

Join a large and dynamic finance team as a Management Accountant, where you'll have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a supportive and fast paced environment.

Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing our financial processes and supporting decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations monthly, ensuring accuracy and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Key Journal Production and Posting: Manage the production and posting of critical journals, including accruals, prepayments, and income deferrals.
  • Commercial Finance Support: Collaborate with the commercial finance team to provide valuable information and performance analysis, aiding local teams in their decision-making processes.
  • Process and Control Development: Develop and implement robust processes and controls to effectively manage risks in accordance with Group requirements.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Flash Results: Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for the Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Year-End Audit Assistance: Support the year-end statutory audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Engage in various ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.
  • Fixed Asset Register Management: Oversee the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring timely and accurate postings related to the acquisition and disposal of assets.
  • Month-End Process Facilitation: Work closely with Transaction Services (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking) to ensure a smooth month-end closing process.
  • Variance and Trend Analysis: Support detailed variance and trend analysis by site and general ledger line item.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Part-qual accountant and an active studier
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
  • Willingness to learn
