The Fulham Boys School is seeking an excellent teacher to join their expanding Mathematics department. Candidates will have a real passion for Mathematics and will want to ensure this passion is shared amongst all boys at FBS. You will join a team of innovative and motivated teachers who strive to provide the best education and a wealth of opportunities to get the very best out of our boys. Ideally the successful candidate will also have the ability to teach Further Mathematics though this is not essential.

The Mathematics department has developed significantly over the past few years and is now in a strong and stable position. Mathematics is loved throughout the school and the results are improving year on year; in % of boys in Year 11 achieved a grade 4+ and 77% a grade 5+. We were also delighted that an entire class of Year 11 students sat Further Maths GCSE which they studied at a lunchtime society and achieved 92% 7+ with 46% achieving a grade 9.

The collegiate department has many strengths including a strong Head of subject, passionate teachers and access to a wide range of teaching resources. The team live and breath maths on a daily basis and are committed to sharing best practice and working together to plan and resource each programme of study.

About The Fulham Boys School

The Fulham Boys School, located in the heart of Fulham, is a highly successful and oversubscribed school with a good reputation in the local community. In 2022 the school achieved 92% 4+ in English & Maths and 74% 5+ in English & Maths, over half of our departments also achieved ALPs 1-3 which places them in the top 25% nationally for KS5 results.

We offer all of our students an extended school day with all of our boys in school until 5pm Monday to Thursday and 3.20pm on Fridays. During this time, our extensive co-curricular offer enables students to take on a new sport or find their passion in debating, gardening or social enterprise. We want our students to leave FBS equipped for the workplace and life beyond.
