This is a large-scale company based near Sheffield, operating within the industrial/manufacturing sector. With a workforce of over 5,000 employees, the company is recognised for its commitment to continuous improvement, technological advancement, and sustainable practices.

Description

  • Develop and test designs for industrial / manufacturing machinery through to DFM
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer needs
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards
  • Use CAD tools for creating and modifying designs
  • Present design ideas and prototypes to the team and clients
  • Assist in troubleshooting design issues
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest design trends in the industry
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively

Profile

The successful Design Engineer should have:

  • Worked in a similar design position within medium/heavy machinery manufacturing/assembly
  • Proficiency in 3D Inventor CAD software
  • Developed designs from concept to manufacture
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address design issues
  • A degree in engineering or related field
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ideally FEA experience

Job Offer

  • Hourly rate c 35 Outside IR35
  • 6 month minimum contract
  • 5 days on site
