Kennedys is looking for a Financial Systems Analyst with extensive Elite 3e experience to join their existing team based in London. Kennedys is a major player in the global insurance legal industry and is growing rapidly with offices and clients worldwide. This role will support the expansion and migration projects underway and assist with the continued development, maintenance and support of the firms suite of finance systems during an exciting period of transformation in the Finance department.

Team

Kennedys Finance team support the Firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients.

Our Finance team is made up of Financial Systems, Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Credit Control, Legal Cashiers and Billers and Financial Operations Database teams.

Our UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London and has a presence across our global offices.

Key responsibilities
  • Work as part of project teams to implement new financial systems, upgrades and changes to existing systems
  • Assist in firms continuing PMS migration projects to ensure all new Kennedys global offices operate on the global PMS (Elite 3e)
  • Assist in the production of financial systems procedures, development specifications, test plans and training guides
  • Provision of training when required
  • Test application upgrades, check functionality and test new and future functionality in line with test plans. Document test results and assist other testers in the same.
    Required experience
    • Extensive experience with Elite 3e in a global law firm with a bias towards time recording and billing.
    • A solid understanding of general legal finance and accounting principles.
    • A proven history of implementing business process improvements.
    • Experience working with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and help shape future processes and system design.
    • Experience of providing second line support to finance and non-finance staff.
    • Involvement in one or more data migration projects and a broad understanding of all aspects of such projects. (Advantageous)
    • Experience gained through working on a large PMS upgrade project. (Advantageous)
    • SQL skills are desirable.
