Art and Textiles Technician, term time only, permanent, part time, 18 hours per week (0.43 FTE). The role is split 8 hours per week art, 10 hours per week textiles. There is some flexibility over hours to spread over a number of days however, hours are subject to change on an annual basis, dependent on the timetable.

The post could be considered as a job share, please indicate on your application if you wish to apply for both roles supporting art and textiles or for either as a standalone role.

As an arts faculty department, our aim is to enable our learners to flourish, develop skills, creativity and independence, through a broad and balanced art and design and textiles curriculum. The successful candidate will be a team player that will work collaboratively with subject leaders and teachers to support day to day teaching and learning.

Duties will include preparation of materials and resources for teachers and students, maintaining stock levels, cleaning, maintenance and organisation of art and textiles room equipment and materials. The post holder will also prepare and load the kiln for firing of ceramics. You will be an experienced technician or with training, have the potential to deliver efficient and effective support; please refer to the person specification for the skill set required.
