The Estates & Facilities team ensure that the University has a built and physical environment that supports the activities of a world-class University, across a portfolio of academic, state of the art research, clinical, enterprise, workspace, residential, social amenity, sport and community facilities. Ambitious plans are afoot with an estates masterplan that will see £1bn of investment in enhancing and delivering a sustainable, inclusive estate over the next decade.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, you will lead and manage the delivery of all engineering, operational maintenance and repairs services across the University's estates portfolio, including reactive and planned maintenance and some minor works. You will provide strategic and technical leadership in the built environment of the University's assets, acting as Duty Holder and manage the delivery of engineering infrastructure services, energy procurement and carbon management. While also being responsible for budget and financial reporting for significant operational budget (c£5.5m).

Interviews are expected to be held on Thursday 11 & Tuesday 16 July.

Please note the title on appointment will be Associate Director of Engineering.

You will be able to operate across all levels of an organisation, think strategically and demonstrate a proven track record of leading an engineering and maintenance service across a multi-site portfolio.
