In line with our Global strategy and purpose, we have an opportunity to join the UK Transformation Programme as a Lead Business Analyst. Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager (Transformation), you will be helping to shape and implement the target operating model for our Commercial business.
Our ambition is to transform the End-to-End experience and journey for our policyholders, intermediaries, internal users and other parties, through a combination of modernising core systems, data-led digital asset development and integrations (internal and external).
The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change through your own work and leading and enabling the work of others. Using specialised business analysis, change management skills and a disciplined business analysis approach, you will be supporting the Transformation Programme to articulate the need for change, defining requirements and recommending solutions that will maximise the value delivered by the business to its customers.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business and IT in the delivery of a varied portfolio of work, whilst building effective relationships across all levels.
Key accountabilities:
- Ensuring oversight of and responsibility for the delivery of Business Analysis Services to the Commercial Motor Fleet Delivery Team
- Defining, implementing, owning and maintaining the Business Analysis approach, providing direction, task management and technical support to other Business Analysts within your delivery area
- Providing expert advice and guidance to Business Owners and others in the effective employment of Business Analysis Services
- Leading planning and estimation of Business Analysis effort to achieve delivery objectives
- Working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders within the organisation to elicit, define and manage often complex business requirements, ensuring clear end-to-end traceability and the identification and management of Project and Programme dependencies
- Supporting Line of Business project planning, backlog refinement and prioritisation
- Ensuring requirements are fully understood and approved by stakeholders
- Mentoring and coaching Business Analysts within your own delivery and the wider Transformation Business Analysis function, providing a technical point of reference/expertise
- Providing assurance of the quality of your own work and of others
- Providing a route for escalation of issues via proper channels
- Supporting and championing Agile working practices
Skills & Experience
- You'll be an experienced Business Analyst and passionate about the Business Analyst role and will have worked in a Financial Services environment, particularly General Insurance and specifically Commercial Motor Fleet Insurance is desirable, but not essential
- You'll have great communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level
- You'll be able to demonstrate experience of task leadership and leading the work of others
- You'll have a thorough understanding of Agile ways of working
- You'll have a good understanding of Allianz UK business areas and wider insurance industry trends
Qualifications:
- A Level education or equivalent
- BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent (Desirable)
