Our client is a leading utilities organisation and consistency recognised as a 10 top company in Northern Ireland.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Wastewater Chemistry Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Analytical Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical direction, support and advice to Northern Ireland Water (NIW)'s Wastewater and Trade Effluent Laboratory. This role will have technical responsibility for the chemistry test methods and related systems at Northern Ireland Water (NIW)'s Wastewater and Trade Effluent Laboratory, which provide an analytical service to the internal and external customers of Northern Ireland Water (NIW).

Essential Criteria;
• 3rd level qualification (HNC, HND or Degree) in Chemistry or equivalent
• Minimum of two years practical experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited chemistry laboratory
• Hold Chartered Status (Chemist, Scientist or Quality) or be prepared to achieve full chartered status with a relevant professional body within two years of taking up position.
• Have knowledge of water industry chemistry analysis, the principles of the chemistry methods used and the means to assure data produced as well as working knowledge of Waste water Regulatory compliance and the impact on a business in terms of compliance with waste water regulations.
• Practical knowledge of UKAS procedures and ISO17025/DWTS.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements such as COSHH and risk assessment.
• Access to a form of transport
