Locum Planning Lawyer – West Midlands – initial 3 Months+ – Hybrid Working – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the West Midlands area who are recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join their department.

This assignment is offered on a full-time basis however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer part-time hours will also be considered.

The contract is for an initial period of 3 months and will be worked on a hybrid basis. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government and have the ability to effectively manage a fast-paced and varied caseload.

Daily duties may include:

  • Reviewing Planning and Highways agreements
  • Dealing with Planning and Highway Queries including enforcement, conservation/heritage issues, policy issues, parking/traffic regulation
  • Working with lawful development certificates
  • Managing Planning appeals/inquiries and Judicial reviews
  • Must be able to attend Planning committees

The role is offering an attractive rate of up to £55 per hour umbrella dependent upon experience.
