Main duties of the job

Barts Health (Royal London, Newham & Whipps) Teaching Hospital is one of the largest acute paediatric service providers in South East England and the largest Paediatric Trauma service in London. It has over 110 Paediatric surgical and medical beds a day-case ward a tertiary Regional Neonatal Unit with neonatal surgery and a Regional Neonatal Transport Service. It is the tertiary referral centre for Paediatric medical specialities (endocrinology, gastroenterology, haematology, oncology, and respiratory medicine) and surgical specialities including ENT.

  • Previous experience in Paediatrics/Neonates/Paediatric or Adult Anaesthesia/Emergency Medicine
  • Eligible for full GMC Registration
  • Good spoken & written English

    Desirable
    • Previous experience in Paediatric Intensive Care
    • Possession of MRCPCH/ Primary FRCA or equivalent/ EPIC Diploma
    • Evidence of Research Activity/Publications
    • Evidence of teaching experience to Undergraduates
    • Advanced Paediatric Life Support Course
