The Position

The Director, Global Market Access & Pricing (GMAP), is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies for our hemorrhage control device, which is intended to provide control and treatment of abnormal postpartum uterine bleeding or hemorrhage when conservative management is warranted. This position will focus on ex-US launches. The successful candidate will also be responsible for Life Cycle Management for current and pipeline devices and Business Development assessments for medical devices that Organon may evaluate/acquire. The GMAP director is responsible for leading a cross functional team to design (global strategy) and execute (country support) an integrated global access and pricing strategy for the hemorrhage control devices and future medical devices.

In this role, the director is a member of the global commercial cross functional team(s) and secures that access, pricing and reimbursement strategies are incorporated within the over-all commercial plan. In this capacity, the director will lead the development of access & pricing strategy, value proposition, reimbursement strategy, tactics to support country execution in collaboration with Marketing, Outcomes Research, Medical Affairs, Policy, Communications, and key markets and regions.

This individual will lead efforts to provide access and pricing assumptions into product forecasts, including business development assessments. This role requires overseeing the design, development, and training of value communication tools for key global, regional, and country stakeholders to prepare for stakeholder engagement and access negotiations and to take informed positions related to price, value and affordability challenges at the appropriate time of product development. We are looking for a highly effective leader that can work across cross-functional teams including commercial, medical affairs, outcomes research, research & development, manufacturing and ex-us geographies. The candidate should have Market Access and Pricing experience in the medical device space in at least one European markets, preferably 2 or more and regional/global positions. The candidate should have strong commercial and scientific acumen, business development experience and an ability to manage through the access and pricing complexities associated with medical devices. Candidate should be willing to adjust responsibilities dependent on Organon's focus and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and articulate unmet needs, current & future access landscape and access pathways, pricing dynamics, key customers, stakeholders, and decision makers to develop access strategy and plan, which incorporates opportunities and addresses risks.
  • Identify and assess the pricing drivers and barriers to achieve product recommendations and reimbursement by market archetype to inform access scenarios, value evidence needs (Value Pack), and execution plan to optimize access.
  • Value Pack: collaborate with Outcomes Research and Medical Affairs colleagues in the development of real-world evidence and economic models and/or analyses, driven by a clear understanding of what countries need and when, including economic messages that Key Account Managers will require in the hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with Policy in the assessment of and development of action plan to shape value frameworks and other policies impacting access for our medical devices, including addressing affordability.
  • Develop value proposition and messages and communication resources and train county colleagues in their use and preparation for key stakeholder engagements and negotiations.
  • Develop pricing strategy to enable product access scenarios. Train country colleagues on interpretation and application of pricing strategies and assess pricing action requests and seek approval according to Global Pricing governance, for assigned markets.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Education Minimum Requirement: BA/BS.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the following functional areas: Developing and executing Market Access, Pricing/Reimbursement strategies in medical devices and at least 3 years in at least 1 European Country.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill down and synthesize complex information from various resources into insights and actions.
  • Experience successfully leading cross functional matrix teams and working with country teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong influencing, negotiating, conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Market Access & Pricing Strategy development and operations support at a regional (European) or Global level in medical devices.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems, hospital systems and reimbursement methods, including health technology assessments of major countries.
  • Knowledge and application of outcomes research, health economic tools and techniques.
  • New Product and/or Scientific Strategy (scientific platform) experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, develop and communicate scientific based strategies and messages.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Women's Health devices.
  • Master's degree in business administration, health policy, or health economics.

Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, cette personne sera membre de l'équipe commerciale interfonctionnelle mondiale et veillera à ce que les stratégies d'accès, de tarification et de remboursement soient intégrées au plan d'affaires général. Cette personne dirigera le travail visant à émettre des hypothèses sur l'accès et la tarification quant aux prévisions de produits, notamment les évaluations de développement commercial. Ce rôle consiste à superviser la conception, le développement et la formation d'outils de communication sur la valeur destinés aux principaux intervenants à l'échelle mondiale, régionale et nationale, afin de préparer leur engagement et les négociations quant à l'accès et d'adopter des positions éclairées sur les défis liés au prix, à la valeur et à l'accessibilité au moment approprié du développement du produit. Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) responsable hautement efficace qui peut travailler au sein d'équipes interfonctionnelles œuvrant dans les domaines de la commercialisation, des affaires médicales et de l'étude des résultats thérapeutiques, de recherche et développement, de fabrication dans des régions hors des États-Unis. La personne retenue doit avoir de l'expérience en matière d'accès au marché et de tarification dans le domaine des dispositifs médicaux au sein d'au moins un marché européen, de préférence deux, et dans des postes à l'échelle régionale ou mondiale. Responsabilités

  • Cibler et formuler les besoins non comblés, les voies d'accès et le paysage actuel et futur de ces accès et la dynamique de tarification auprès des principaux clients, des intervenants et des décideurs afin d'élaborer une stratégie et un plan d'accès qui tiennent compte des occasions et des risques.
  • Cibler et évaluer les facteurs de tarification et les obstacles à l'obtention des recommandations de produits et au remboursement par type de marché afin d'éclairer les scénarios d'accès, les besoins en données probantes sur la valeur et le plan d'exécution pour optimiser l'accès.
  • Ensemble de valeurs : collaborer avec les collègues de la recherche sur les résultats, affaires médicales à l'élaboration de données probantes et de modèles économiques et/ou d'analyses en situation réelle, en s'appuyant sur une compréhension claire des besoins nationaux au moment opportun, notamment les messages de nature économiques dont les gestionnaires de comptes principaux auront besoin en milieu hospitalier.
  • Collaborer avec les responsables des politiques à l'évaluation et à l'élaboration d'un plan d'action visant à façonner des cadres de valeurs et d'autres politiques ayant une incidence sur l'accès aux dispositifs médicaux, y compris en ce qui concerne l'accessibilité.
  • Élaborer une proposition de valeur, des messages et des ressources de communication. Former les collègues locaux sur l'utilisation de ces outils et sur leur préparation aux principaux engagements et négociations avec les intervenants.
  • Élaborer une stratégie de tarification pour permettre des scénarios d'accès aux produits. Former les collègues des pays sur l'interprétation et l'application des stratégies de tarification, évaluer les demandes de mesures de tarification et demander les approbations conformément aux règles de gouvernance globale de la tarification pour les marchés assignés.

Études, expérience et compétences requises

  • Exigences de scolarité minimales : B.A./B.Sc.
  • Au moins 10 ans d'expérience dans les domaines fonctionnels suivants : Élaboration et mise en œuvre de stratégies d'accès au marché, de tarification et de remboursement de dispositifs médicaux, et une expérience d'au moins trois ans dans un pays européen.
