Location: Hybrid working in either Swansea, Bristol, Manchester, London.

Looking for a skilled Data Engineer to contribute to delivering impactful Data Platforms and familiar with working on agile delivery-led projects. As a Lead Data Engineer at Made Tech, you will have a significant role in empowering public sector organizations with robust data platforms and integrating data knowledge into delivery teams.

Your role at Made Tech:

Define and enhance data strategies for government sectorsHelp public sector teams unlock the value of their dataAct as a trusted advisor in utilizing public cloud servicesContribute to recruitment efforts and take on line management responsibilities

Skills and experience we are seeking:

Proficiency in Git (inc. Github Actions) and ability to explain branch strategiesExperience in IaC and deployment into various environmentsHandling and transforming data types using tools like Apache Spark, Databricks, or HadoopUnderstanding of modern data system architecturesCreating data pipelines in a cloud environment with error handlingDocumenting and presenting data processing systemsEnthusiasm for learning and self-developmentExperience with agile delivery projectsOwnership of cloud infrastructure in data projects through a DevOps approachDesigning and implementing data transformation processes at scaleSkills in offering guidance on implementing a robust DevOps approachAbility to discuss tools such as DataOps for orchestration and data analytics

Desirable Experience:

Experience in technology consultancy, Docker, working with senior stakeholders, pair programming, and productionizing advanced data deliverables
