About the PE Department

The PE department at Trinity School are a passionate and collaborative team, keen to enhance the learning and outcomes of students. We participate successfully in both local, regional and national sporting competitions in both Rugby, Netball and Football. Moving into the departments next phase of development we would like to see an expansion in the recreational pathway offering in both Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 to ensure engagement continues to increase amongst all year groups. We have seen a healthy and consistent growth in sporting engagement in recent years and would very much like this to continue through the exploration of new innovative and creative sporting experiences.

The department has recently gone through a transition in examination PE from GCSE PE to CNAT Sport Studies, experience of leading this course would be advantageous but not essential. Within Key Stage 5 we offer the BTEC National Extended certificate in Sport which is an extremely popular option within the sixth form.

About You

You will be committed to the development and progress of students, able to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and you will be the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative team working style, relishes a challenge and is resilient. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are either newly qualified or have experience of teaching PE with a proven track record of success.
