Are you a passionate individual looking to support the education of young people ?

Here at Smile we are seeking a dedicated Unqualified Teacher for a secondary school based in Stafford for the upcoming academic year.

You will be supporting pupils with their development in the absence of their regular teacher and covering all classroom subjects as needed.

The expected pay range for the role is between £85-£100 depending on experience.

Whether you can work full time or part time hours, we would love to hear from you- as this role offers flexibility around the days you are available to work.

However the successful applicant must be able to cover a full school day.

Responsibilities for this Unqualified Teacher role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lesson plans, this is across various subjects
  • Take over PE lessons in the teacher's absence
  • Ensure there is a positive learning environment for the pupils whilst their teacher is absent
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures
  • Manage the behaviour of the class, supporting the pupils at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children whether in schools, mentoring/tutoring, sports coaching or similar roles
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to pay for one
  • A passion for teaching / supporting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in different classrooms with a can-do attitude
