What will you be doing?

You will be part of a team of experienced Specialist Teachers, Specialist Practitioners and Educational Psychologists who work closely together and support each other to improve the outcomes for children, families, schools, and settings. The team also promotes the development of close links with schools, families, partner teams and services, with other agencies and with the voluntary sector.

Duties include the management of a diverse and challenging caseload, liaising closely with senior leaders in school and the development of resources and training. You will work strategically alongside other Access and Inclusion Coordinators in the wider county team.


The role will require county-wide travel, with an administrative base in Cambridge and is for 26 hours per week.

About you

You will have a thorough understanding of the factors that promote successful inclusion and be passionate about supporting settings to implement appropriate strategies which help to improve children's attendance, engagement, behaviour, emotional wellbeing and learning.

You will have thorough knowledge and understanding of exclusion, including the legal processes and the SEND Code of Practice

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of supporting children with SEND, in particular SEMH needs. You will have a broad range of relevant experience and a strong CPD record. You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience of working with primary schools. You will be able to work both independently and jointly with other professionals and have the confidence and knowledge to deliver training and advice to settings. The ability to work autonomously to prioritise work and meet deadlines are key.
