Role Description

The purpose of this role is to manage the data between our 2 main ERP's Oracle Financials and SAP, and their connecting upstream and downstream satellite applications. The management of these integrations including 1) ensuring that the integration technology is compliant with Allianz standards and infosec policies, 2) there are appropriate reconciliations of accuracy and completeness of data between the ERPs and the satellite applications and 3) subject matter expert level understanding of what data is being passed into the ERPs and the purpose of the data and 4) Support the resolution of any data quality issues caused by the integration. This role also controls the accounting integrity and quality of data being passed into the ERPs and will be integral in developing interfaces to and from source systems into the ERPs.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Management

  • Resolving data issues related to any system integrations between Oracle Financials and SAP and their upstream and downstream applications.
  • Ensuring that the integration technology is compliant with Allianz standards and infosec policies.
  • Ensuring appropriate reconciliations of accuracy and completeness of data between the ERPs and the satellite applications and
  • Subject matter expert with a good understanding of what data is being passed into the ERPs and the purpose of the data integration.
  • Managing and controlling the accounting integrity and quality of data being passed into the ERPs.
  • Supporting the development of interfaces to and from source systems into the ERPs to ensure that the data is fit for purpose and of the correct granularity and frequency
  • Ensure seamless and efficient data flow between systems.

Technical Evaluation and Quality Control Checks

  • Analyse the technical aspects of proposed changes from MSP in relation to the data being passed into our ERPS
  • Assist Portfolio and Resource Manager in identifying project sizing and feasibility for technical aspects of change.
  • Review MSP technical output to ensure code and solution is fit for purpose and aligns with best practices.
  • Ensure all changes meet CEMLI standards.
  • Ensure use of version controlling and correct Gitlab and Jenkins processes followed by MSP.

Compliance and Security

  • Ensure that all integration and technologies comply with AZ standards and InfoSec policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance.
  • Implement security measures to protect data integrity and privacy during integration processes.

Data Reconciliation

  • Perform regular reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data exchanged between ERP and satellite applications.
  • Develop and implement reconciliation processes to identify and resolve data discrepancies,
  • Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities and outcomes.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Develop a deep understanding of the data being passed into the ERPs, including its source, purpose, and impact on business processes.
  • Act as a SME for data integration, providing guidance and support to other teams.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new technologies in system integration.

Accounting Integrity

  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data being passed into the ERPs.
  • Develop and implement data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Work with accounting and finance teams to ensure integrated data supports accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Interface Development

  • Work with MSP to design, develop and maintain interfaces between source systems and ERPs.
  • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to build efficient and scalable integration solutions.
  • Ensure interfaces are robust, secure, and able to handle expected data columns and complexities.

Issue Resolution and Support

  • Provide support for any data issues related to system integrations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for integration failures relating to Financial data
  • Ensure timely resolution of integration issues to minimise business impact.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, interfaces, and data flows using AZ standards.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of integrations, compliance checks and data reconciliations.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving data quality between system integrations and build reconciliations for accuracy

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Oracle Financials and SAP.
  • Proficiency in integration technologies and middleware.
  • Strong knowledge of version control software.
  • Experience with data reconciliations and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of infosec policies and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in designing and developing system interfaces.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and financials data management.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest integration technologies and best practices.
  • Educated to GSCE or Batchelors Degree or higher
  • Expert use of MSExcel
  • Experience in designing and developing system interfaces.
