Gymshark's In Real Life presence is growing rapidly, whether at one of our offices, a Gymshark event or in one of our retail stores or pop-ups. Due to this growth, we are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our Company Secretary team that manage central business risks and compliance.
This position will lead, promote and manage health and safety across the entire business and be primarily based in our head office in Solihull, although there will be travel required across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Health & Safety professional who has proven experience in a fast paced and varied environment, including acting as a named competent person for H&S matters.
We would also welcome candidates who have knowledge of Health & Safety laws in the USA and EU within the retail/events space.

You'll be working and collaborating across the business, carrying out and managing risk assessments for the Gymshark campus, events and retail stores and be at the heart of our rapid growth into a billion-dollar global business.
This role is genuinely important to our business performance – you will develop and implement Gymshark's health and safety policy and strategy as well as ensure group compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.

The Hybrid working pattern features a minimum of three days a week at our global HQ in Solihull, UK
And here's what we are looking for from you:
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as a health and safety manager in a fast paced and varied environment – preferably within retail / E-commerce.
Health and safety certification (Nebosh, IOSH or equivalent)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence all areas of the business
Detail-orientated with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to have a "hands-on" approach to health and safety
Strong record-keeping skills and an ability to independently devise and stick to roadmaps and plans
Able to manage their own time and allocate available time efficiently
Preferred Skills:
Flexibility – happy to learn new areas but to be commercial
Unafraid to say the difficult things
UK driving licence
Knowledge of health and safety laws in USA and EU
