AWE is looking for Engineering Managers to be part of our important mission and play a vital part in leading our maintenance and reliability teams across multiple projects in key technology centres based at EPURE in Valduc, France.

The Role?

You would lead a UK technical team working out of our EPURE facility and provide effective guidance as the main contact point for all team members and/or other team leaders. You will maintain a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements to deliver the integrated technical programme.

Location: CEA Valduc 45 minutes outside of Dijon, France

Excellent leadership qualitiesExceptional stakeholder engagementDegree in Physics or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent relevant experienceSignificant experience in Operational planning and leadership, in industry or academiaEnthusiasm and desire to work in a highly regulated environment Requirements of role: Able to assign to France for a 5-year period (this is supported by AWE's Global Mobility Policy)Hold a valid UK Driving License (public transport to site limited)It is essential that candidates be capable of reaching at least B1 level, French lessons are providedWilling to work in high hazard environment. Medically fit to work in RA and Explosive controlled area, including the wearing of negative pressure respiratorExpected to cover Duty Manager Rota (on-call 24/7, approximately 1 week in 6, including holiday periods) What will you get from us?
