Transport Analyst

Position title: Transport Analyst

Location: Lichfield, UK (hybrid working system)

Reports to: Transportation Leader

Job summary

As a Transport Analyst you will analyze transportation spend of outbound, inbound and intercompany freight, KPI and service level metrics. Your objective is to improve carrier's efficiency, define and drive productivity initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

Utilize MS Excel and other internal tools (Power BI) to effectively analyze and evaluate transport cost over sales (outbound, Intercompany) or standard costs of imported goods (inbound sea and air) to report, propose and implement cost saving projects Help refine metrics - measures, monitors and develop spend and performance reporting on an ongoing basis for Europe DCs, Interco, Air, Inbound – Co2 reporting Run transportation analysis (cost/lead time) for decision making on deals and new business opportunities Support network projects (Warehouse move) analysis to assess the current state performance in order to optimize future state results, i.e. analysis of routes and leveraging volumes Gather data to launch RFQs - Analyze, present results and make recommendations Assist Finance team in accurately reporting transportation costs for monthly KPI and budget Monthly invoices check and approval Maintain and improve Inbound matrix

Minimum requirements:

3-5 years' experience in Distribution/Transportation environment Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) Fluent in English

Preferred:

Good listening and teamwork skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail Able to work with minimum supervision, self-motivated Able to understand and demonstrate sense of urgency Bachelor's degree is an advantage Knowledge of PKMS and SAP is a plus
