Job Description:

The purpose of the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager role is to collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Finance to develop, implement, and maintain the SIOP process within the ERP system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Long-term planning and capacity forecasting
  • Collaborating with the sales department to understand demand
  • Short-term demand profiling for production and procurement teams
  • Managing and maintaining production SCP data (resource levels, OEE, standard times) to balance supply and demand
  • Supporting commercial activities using cost estimations via the simulator
  • Continually developing the simulator to create a permanent software solution
  • Developing and optimizing forecasting and demand planning processes to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements
  • Supporting working capital/inventory strategies for inventory optimization through effective SIOP execution in alignment with demand and supply planning execution
  • Developing effective statistical forecast models based on industry trends and customer-specific demand patterns

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to bachelor's degree level or higher
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
  • Advanced ERP and MRP experience
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools and best practices, including techniques and methods to develop forecasting models
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of complex data
  • Experience with complex manufacturing business systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn technical concepts through reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and on-the-job training
